The Midnyte Masquerade has just learned that the ihabitants of the castle on the hill, Castle Le Max, are leaving Sicily this weekend. Ms. Carmilla Montague, the matriarch of this mysterious family, has informed us that they enjoyed their stay on our fair sland..however, they are moving back to their former homeland, in the Carpathian Mountains of Transylvania. The Montague family moved here as part of a divorce settlement last March. She and her former husband have renegotiated the terms and the displaced family is happy to be returning. Our roving reporter, Vincent Martinelli, has discovered, through anonymous sources, that the Giovanni's of Sicily, who own over 85% of the land here, are rapidly buying acres and acres of Carpathian Mountain property. It is unclear the purpose of these purchases, however these astute business experts must know a good thing when they see it. The price of an acre of Carpathian land has skyrocketed this morning as a result of copy cat business people procuring sites ranging from landfills to grazing fields.
